about

Recorded on a TASCAM Porta 1 4-track circa 1992-1993, this 60-minute cassette was the next in line of physical releases to follow at a time where poetry and cinematic effects were the core of Max Edman's sonic art. Heavily influenced by psychedelic drugs, THROBBING GRISTLE, film scores, ambient producers, seventies pornography and industrial music, this is one facet of his many sides. This release further cemented the genre-defying boundaries that would serve as a backdrop to future poetry releases and was mimicked by others such as The Boyd Rice Experience's "Hatesville" release.

Two of four total "poetry + noise" releases simultaneously put out with original hip hop and mix tapes from 1994-1996 and the birth of Midax Musik as it stands now. Not much has changed 25 + years later...

about

Midax Musik San Antonio, Texas

Established in 2001 as a hobby label to release cassettes of poetry and random noises. Label flounder Max Edman has wasted his life on music & wack artists that never sold. After decades of digital marketing and putting in MAD work, he no longer gives a fuck and quits! He made a little over $1100 in 13 years over 102 albums on this platform. You do the math, if you even stagger upon this page. ... more
